Passing of an Icon
It is with sad hearts that we announce the passing of Gordon Dunlop Sr.
Mr. Dunlop was one of Parkwood Youth Organization’s founding fathers back in 1965. With the dedication of Mr. Dunlop and many others their legacy has lived on through the growth of the club to this day. Mr. Dunlop’s commitment to the youth of Parkwood not only was shown through the teams he coached that his children played on but also impacted many lives on teams he coached that his children did not play on.
Mr. Dunlop’s commitment and dedication to the youth of Parkwood have resulted in two of the highest honors for the club, he is one of only a select few in our ring of honor and Travel soccer field #1 has been dedicated in his name as well. Parkwood has lost a legend but his legacy will live on through the many lives he touched over the years. Mr. Dunlop is survived by his children Gordon Jr., John, Linda and many family members. Parkwood Youth Organization would like to send out heartfelt and warmest condolences to the entire Dunlop family.
