2021 Skills and Drills Program

Good Evening Parkwood Families,

We are very excited to announce that we will be moving forward with a modified Skills and Drills intramural basketball program that will tip off the weekend of February 20th. Registration will only be open for a limited time (February 7th -14th).  This will be a “skills and drills” program only  and will run as follows:

 -  Co-ed players ages 7-10 (player must be 7 by 2/20/21 and not 11 before 2/20/21)
-   Participants will be broken down into small groups of 8-10 and aligned with a trainer
-  Skills Sessions will be held weekend mornings  NO GAME
-   6 week season beginning Feb 20th
-  First 5 weeks will be skills training (shooting, dribbling, passing, etc.)
-  Week 6 (March 27th-28th) will be a skills competition
-  Teams will meet every Saturday or Sunday throughout the season for an hour
-  Registration is $40, every player will receive a t-shirt

With the current city guidelines, and indoor gathering limits, spectators will not be permitted in the gym during the training sessions. All trainers and players will be required to wear a mask at all times during the training sessions. Players will be socially distanced and given frequent breaks. We are looking forward to getting our Parkwood players back on the basketball court! If anyone has any questions or concerns please contact me at [email protected].

Thank you all,

Important Travel Basketball Updates

Due to the deadlines being pushed up, the tryout registrations will need to close tomorrow (Monday, November 30, 2020) at 8:00 pm.  The travel program which is currently open will be a different format.  More information to follow to those who have registered or register by the deadline.  If a player is not registered by the deadline, they will not be eligible to play at this time.  If a standard league becomes available when the City loosens their guidelines / requirements, we will re-open sign-ups to proceed in standard format.

Please send any questions to [email protected].

Many thanks,

Dwight Kondravy
